About the action for honoring leaders of economic development of Ivano-Frankivsk "Triumph"

     Prerequisites that led to the need to implement the idea.

     One of the main priorities in the economy of Ivano-Frankivsk is the development of business, which is the main source of filling the revenue part of the city budget, creating new jobs, attracting investment in the city economy, etc.

In order to support entrepreneurship by creating favorable conditions for its development, the city authorities implemented a number of measures aimed at eliminating obstacles and barriers in the business environment of the city and improving the business climate. At the same time, in spite of the steps taken in the direction of supporting entrepreneurship, in the city insufficient attention was paid to the necessity of informational coverage of the activities of entrepreneurial structures.

Subjects of small and medium-sized business, applying innovative methods and technologies for improvement of activity, have their own efforts brought the information to the end users. Moreover, individual advertising campaigns and events did not reflect a complete picture of the introduction of good business practices and achievements in the economic sphere of the city.

Idea

     For the application of a comprehensive solution to the issue of identifying best practices and positive trends in the field of entrepreneurship development, since March 2004, an annual action "Triumph" commemorating the leaders of economic development in Ivano-Frankivsk is held in February-March.

    The purpose of the action is to celebrate and award business entities in the most diverse branches of the economy based on their work in the previous year.

    In order to coordinate and identify the organizational issues for the implementation of this plan, in accordance with the decision of the mayor, an organizational committee consisting of the employees of the departments, departments of the executive committee of the city council, deputies of the city council, etc. was created. In addition, in order to ensure openness and transparency of the main stages of the organization and holding of the event, coverage of information and conditions for the participation of business entities in the action, the work of the organizing committee attracted employees to work with mass media, mass media, etc.

    In order to determine the winners and in order to comprehensively cover and take into account the specifics of activity in various spheres, directions of the city's economy, the order of the mayor of the city approved the composition of the commission. In particular, the competition committee included representatives of the executive committee of the city council, deputies of the city council, heads of enterprises, the Ivano-Frankivsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the State Tax Inspectorate in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, the Main Directorate of Statistics in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

    The members of the competition committee, taking into account the proposals and comments of the organizing committee, determine the list of nominations in which the city's economic development leaders are awarded, and the criteria for selecting participants and rewarding the winners.

     Definition and awarding of winners for the results of 2011 will take place in the following nominations for various industries and spheres of economic activity, namely:

1. Investment year

2. Successful industrial enterprise of the year

3. The best tourist operator

4. The local brand of the year

5. Creation of the trading year

6. Restaurant restaurant of the year

7. Construction company of the year

8. Leader-reformer of the year

9. Best exporter of the year

10. Small enterprise of the year

11. Best hotel of the year

12. Best carrier of the year

13. Socially responsible enterprise of the year

    The list of general criteria for all nominations is defined, among which the following indicators:

- absence of arrears from payments to the budget as of 01.01.2012;

- absence of arrears on payment of wages on 01.01.2012. and individual criteria for each nomination.

Results

    Launching the tradition of holding the "Triumph" campaign is a step for:

     - public honors of the subjects of small and medium business,

     - creation of a positive image of entrepreneurship,

     - promotion of best practices in conducting business,

     - Distribution of best practices in business development.

    The celebration of the leaders of the economic development of the city "Triumph" is one of the elements of stimulating business entities to improve the results of their economic activity, in particular, increasing production volumes and expanding the range of products, introducing advanced technologies, updating and changing the forms and methods of customer service and expanding the service sector , as a consequence of which is the welfare of the inhabitants of the city.

    Organization and conducting of the action is a kind of advertising measure for the dissemination of information about the best small and medium business enterprises in Ivano-Frankivsk not only on the territory of the city, but also in Ukraine and abroad (delegations from other cities of Ukraine and foreign countries are invited to the celebration). Also, as a result of the action, the materials are distributed in print and electronic form among the bodies of state power and bodies of local self-government, enterprises, institutions, organizations, trade missions and representative offices, etc. in Ukraine and abroad.
